A custom mahjong gift needs to work for its recipients, its presentation and its delivery plan. This guide offers a project checklist for company gifts, club programs and events. It does not establish a fixed quantity, price, lead time, inspection service or extra-unit policy from mahjcustom.com.

Start with the recipients and intended use

Identify whether recipients already play mahjong, which playing format they use and whether the gift will be used immediately at an event. Confirm the intended rules and prepare an itemised tile map rather than assuming that one tile count is universal. If instruction is included, identify who supplies it and check permission to reproduce any third-party rules or card content.

Control artwork and sample approval

Supply authorised brand assets with a version identifier. Agree which faces, backs, racks, bags and boxes carry the design. Review the printed layout at actual size and inspect a representative physical sample for colour, legibility, finish and complete-pack fit. Any tolerance or performance criterion belongs in the agreed specification; a digital preview cannot establish physical colour or long-term wear.

Define kit assembly and inspection

Record each component and its quantity, who packs it, which checks are required and how discrepancies will be recorded. Agree the inspection method and acceptance plan in the order. If full inspection or an independent inspection is requested, confirm availability, scope, cost and responsibility rather than assuming it is included.

Discuss contingency quantities explicitly. Extra kits, spare tiles, emergency replacements and on-site support are separate decisions. Agree whether any are needed, how many, who pays and where they will be delivered. This guide promises no percentage overage or automatic free replacement.

Build the schedule from real decision gates

Work back from the required receipt date. Allow for artwork approval, sample review, revisions, production, inspection, packing, transit and receiving checks. Ask the project parties to confirm their own durations and dependencies. Keep calendar and working days separate. Do not rely on a generic holiday lead-time or a fixed air-freight premium; request route-specific shipping options and a complete quotation.

Frequently asked questions

Can a whole kit be supplied under one order?

Provide a full bill of materials and ask which elements can be included, who controls each stage and what substitutions require approval. The written proposal should identify the actual scope.

What should a personalised gift approval include?

Check every spelling, date, logo position and artwork variation, together with the physical reference and packing layout. Retain written approval of the final versions.

What happens if an event deadline changes?

Ask for an updated feasibility review and quotation before approving changes. Record the effect on quantity, scope, transport and costs; no universal rush service or delivery guarantee is established here.

Use the artwork checklist, sampling guide and packaging checklist, then prepare a project brief.
